Possibly dumb GTI valence/Caddy question..
« on: February 26, 2013, 02:57:54 pm »
I've seen a million of them, but isn't there part of the GTI air dam that hooks into the fender flares? Is there one intended for un-flared cars?
I'm pondering putting one on my Caddy, but I can't move the stock US bumper since it holds a huge oil cooler.  I assume the bumpers between
GTI and non are the same shape?

On a related note, what flares if any fit the rear of a Caddy? Seems like the one's from a GLI fit with some work or something like that but I can't remember
the specifics.

yes gti went into the front flairs.. sadly the front lip is lower then gti oone goes anyways..

i say kamei no flairs needed, hand lower and look nicer..

rear flairs.. i too think jetta.. but jetta vs rabbit is rears of jetta do not go around as far as rabbit.. wheel arch on bunny like 2" longer.. so id thihnk bunny too long for caddy rear quarter more like jetta

Groovy..

Is the offset of stock 13's such that they'd look tucked under the flares and funky?
I assume GTI/GLE wheels had more offset and/or were wider?

I was thinking about a set of Corrado steel wheels, one of the guys online
has them new pretty cheap and 13" tires are getting expensive and harder to find.
