gtd rebuild
« on: January 01, 2013, 09:22:24 pm »
so with a boring day, silly idea's tend to pop in.....i have a gtd that was partially disassembled when i got to it. i bought it for the jr engine and for parts. the shell was supposed to be sacrifised and become a trailer. now i think i,m gonna strip it to the shell and bring it back to it's glory. to rare of a car to cut up and the shell is in incredible shape. no rust. i'm at a toss up between the toffee brown on the new vw's or montana green like the one i have now. the car is at the shop where i work, but as soon as i make some room at home, gonna tow it home and get started. it'll be slow, as i'm working in the driveway, but i should be able to get it stripped down and start getting it ready for paint.

so after waaaaaay too long, my gtd is finally in fresh paint.... the updated plan is a 1.9 to get it rolling and a tdi later. still a long way to go and it will be slow, but with fresh paint, now I can get started.
