I might be upgrading to a 1.9NA in the future, which will leave me with (2) 1.6 NA long blocks that I will be storing just in case.

Motor #1 is in my truck now. It is a VW crate engine, 12MM headbolts. I guess that it was installed in '91 based on the serial number. Prior to last year, the truck sat for a confirmed 15 years, 5 of them in my possession. Prior to putting the truck back into service, I installed all new seals on the engine to avoid the annoying 2 month later leaks, that was about 8,000 miles ago.  If I had to guess mileage, I would say less than 50K, the truck has 160K on it. The head valvetrain area was VERY clean indicating less miles than more. The injectors were pop tested in '05, sat in a box, installed last year. The motor has a used 1.5L pump on it.  Motor smokes very little when cold after startup, it clears up immediate.  Motor will come with intake manifold, injection pump, steel fuel lines, injectors, glow plugs, timing cover, bad diaphragm style vacuum pump, water pump housing, but not much else, I have to transfer the remaining accessories to the new motor.. This motor is a runner, and can be test driven.  On flat land, this motor motivates the truck quite well, but I live in the hills and want more ooomph.

Motor #2 I bought last year from a wrecked caddy. This motor had been rebuilt at some point and time in the 90's. It has 11MM head bolts.  This truck has been sitting for at least 13 years after it was hit. It has standard sized pistons, is an 11MM motor. I do not know what undersize the bearings are, I have not removed the pan. While it was sitting in the truck with no hood, water got into the intake manifold and into the #2 and 4 cylinders locking up the rotating assembly. I got it to turn again, but the cylinder walls need to be honed to clean the remainder of the rust, pistons removed and check for broken or stuck rings. No serious damage or pitting to the cylinder walls noted, it should clean up fine without needing oversized pistons. Judging by the lack of carbon and upper cylinder wear, I estimate this block had less mileage than motor #1. Head is not installed on the motor, it will need to be disassembled and cleaned, just to be safe no junk falls from the port into the combustion chamber..  essentially, this motor would need to be torn down for inspection and cleaning, but it is cheaper than buying the parts to rebuild yours plus pay for machine work.  I bought this motor as a spare thinking it would be good to have as a spare

The extra head is from the wrecking yard. It needs to be disassembled and cleaned. It has the usual cracks between the valves. I have not checked it for warpage.

If I buy this new to me motor I am looking to put in my caddy, I will need to sell these engines to offset the maintenance parts I will need to purchase and the new motor itself.  Otherwise I would be happy as a clam to sit on these until I would be dead.

Per common sense and rules, Motor #1 is $800 or best reasonable offer, motor #2 is $400 or best reasonable offer,  Worst I can say is no.

The extra head has a cam, gear, injectors. I'll take $50 for it.
