Pristine mk2's can go upwards of $3000 but by lowering your standards in finding a shell (shell that needs paint job, slight rust or rear wheel arches) You can find these if your looking for about $700 and a bit of traveling. It will take a heck of alot less time to tackle a few minor body issues than a full body restoration.
