OK, now to get the 1.9 pump to fit did you mill the pump bracket larger to accommodate the bigger diameter 1.9 pump nose? I've heard some of the early 1.9 pumps had the same nose style as the 1.6. Many thanks,Luke
I did this on one of my own cars and the 1.9 pump worked really well. I used the 1.6 injectors, lines and delivery valves. You have to use the 1.9 sprocket on the 1.9 pump for everything to line up. I did try and use the 1.9 injectors but they were taller and the lines had to be bent a bit to fit. I didn't really notice a difference with the different injectors. I also had to use the bracket on the back of the pump from the 1.6. I loved the way it ran with the 1.9 pump. It fueled way more especially in the higher rpms.

I thought i read some where that the 1.9 injectors ran quieter because they were 2 stage injectors or something like that. Read it a while back. Not as much combustion knock noise.
