Where is my oil going?

I was doing a timing belt on my 98 ahu. When i pulled the intake to clean it.
i also removed the cam and used a propane torch and some brushes and shop air to clean out the ports in the head.use picks,popsicle sticks what you can get in there with
i guess instead of pulling the cam you could just turn it over till the valve is closed for the port you wana clean...
id put some sheetmetal around the area for heat protection.theres alotta nastyness....
i was getting surging above 3500...i could barely get my thumb in the main intake,and the ports were pinky sized...that was only 130k also.
i put in a egr blockoff plate,and some tape over the cel

I hope mine isn't that dirty! Like burn_your_money said, no egr on my car so there isn't any reason for it to be that dirty.
I'm not really experiencing a loss in power though in my opinion. The car really seems to run great, it's just going through a ton of oil.
