I'd check the shift linkages before the tranny's... the tranny's will take a lot of abuse (unless of course the car is highly modded for power :twisted: )This tranny was mostly sticking in 3rd, to the point that you hadto hammer the top lever on the tranny to get it out, then it started sticking in the rest of the gears, I was told that this is a typical failure mode for the tranny...The engine smoke is grey, not black and it doesn't smoke too much once it is fully warmed up.MM
