Fuel screw is turned up. Nothing wrong with it, just a matter of personal preference. You can turn the max fuel down a 1/8th of a turn and it should smoke less. Did you build that car or buy it? The turbo sounds great!

Got any outside pics? I'd like to see what's going on with those monster fender flares.

You are no good with taking videos. ;) haha

Doesn't sound too advanced to me, but it is a video. What do you have it timed to? 1.6TD's generally like it in the 0.95mm-1.05mm area.

Does that black clear up when the boost really comes on?? If not, then you can back the max fuel screw down as mentioned in 1/8th turns until you get a slight haze at WOT on full boost. You will not loose any power by doing it this way.

Cool I'll check the screw. Haha yeah I suck with the phone.
No it never clears up. Only time it doesn't smoke is when I'm half throttle or less.

Should the manual cold start cable change the tone or rpm??

I used the dial indicator to set it at 1.05 with the fresh belt install.  Haven't touched it since.

It depends on the style of pump used. Does it have a vertical rod on the backside going up to a lever on the lid of the pump or not?

If it does, then yes it should bump the idle up for a cold start idle bump.

Does my cold start cable do anything?

Of course it does! BUT being that the pump is timed to 1.05mm it doesn't do anything for pre-starting like it was intended. It manually advances the timing of the pump internally when pulled. It would have advanced it to a much lower setting then where you have it set statically right now. So really, it shouldn't be needed ever according to the mk1/mk2 Bentley.

It still does advance the pump manually, but you  should find that cranking with it pulled should actually slow the cranking down because it is being injected too early. So early in fact that it is igniting and fighting the piston on its way to TDC.
