Help identifying a few misc parts
«

I have quite a few extra parts
Some of the are due to my first motor having a/c and new motor not having a/c. I also received a bunch of new stuff with the purchase of an a/c compressor. Just wondering if I need any of this stuff. The two long flat bars are probably alternator mounts. The longer one looks like it works for my car, the shorter one I have no idea. The black bracket looks like it goes to my alternator, but not sure. I have one on the engine now that looks different. Any insight to what any of these do would be greatly helpful

In the second photo the flatish bracket with two small holes and one large mounts near the injection pump/valve cover/timing belt cover and is for lifting the motor if I'm not mistaken, not terribly necessary.
I think you're on the right track with your alternator brackets and mounting arms. There are a lot of variants mkI, mkII, gassers, diesels, a/c and non a/c etc.

I agree, I know I will have some extra stuff, I just don't want to miss something important. That strange shaped bracket wouldn't even been a question except that it has a vw # on it and vw logo. No telling what it is

Ty, I guess that's why it was included, because it was an A/C part. I must not need it because I already have A/C installed on my car
