ive heard of this show for a couple years and in 2011 i went and had a great time.. they have a full campground with showers/restrooms..
my goal this year is to get 4-8 kubvans to show up.. but more is welcome..
the orginizer of this show does it all out of pocket.. so its a laid back bbq/drunk weekend. its more about the people and unique mk1 vws.. vs sponsor..

July 14th and 15th
You can show up Friday the 13th to camp but NOT before 12:00 noon
Saturday the 14th consists of food, cruises to Deutsche Classic and from there to Sonic as well as from the camp to Sonic bonfires and such. Possible cruise from Sonic as well. All info will be added as the cruises are mapped out.
Sunday the 15th is the show/swap portion. Registration starts at 10am and continues till approximately 1pm give or take (we're relaxed)
Sunday all campers must be out by 8:00 PM and the camp cleaned up. I will be working on securing hotel rooms at a discount (possibly paid for by me) for the long haulers who will leave Monday.
Few rules I want to put out there now.
NO HOT LAPS, SLOW LAPS NOTHING. (it's turning into too much nonsense)
LOUD NOISE ENDS AT 11PM PERIOD (YOU KNOW WHAT LOUD IS, DON'T BE STUPID)
IF ANONE TELLS YOU TO KEEP IT DOWN, DO IT, PERIOD
PLEASE NO LOUD MUSIC BEFORE 9:00 AM
NO FIREWORKS, PAINTBALL GUNS ETC
THERE WILL BE A NEW WAY TO GET FIREWOOD (NO GRABBING OFF THE PILE, IT GOT SLAUGHTERED LAST YEAR) BUT I WILL BE HANDLING IT PERSONALLY OR ONE OF MY VOLUNTEERS

If you can send it as a gift to avoid paypal fees.
Also, you can pay upon arrival.
Camping $20 per person per night, heights sites are $25 (heights residences pretty much fill that up already)
Show is $10 to enter
Spectating is free
Swap is $15 used parts / $25 for new vendors
Firewood $5 for 10 pieces
Please specify what you are paying for in the notes and add your mailing address.
Last year was the first time I had any issues with people almost fighting/almost fighting and such. I WON'T STAND FOR THIS! I'm not your parents, if you can't handle yourself, drink too much, get pissed off for some reason and feel the need to fight then don't come at all. YOU MUST BE RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS AND DON'T CAUSE TROUBLE.
If you don't respect the rules I will make you leave immediately or if you're drunk/have been drinking the next morning you will be asked to leave. If you don't comply the police will be called and you will be escorted out.
I WILL NOT let this event be ruined by some people who can't handle themselves. If it does happen I will quit doing it altogether.
You are the community, it's your choice. (and I mean everyone, it's not always the non Mk1 people causing trouble)

Gonna be great yet again. Went last year and wanna go this year, but there's no engine in my '81 right now. Will anybody here be passing through central VA late Friday? Looking for a ride up to the show and seeing who wouldn't mind. Hell or high water I'm going, just wanna ask to hopefully save on borrowing/renting a car.
