Yeah, I ordered a 85 Cabby windshield a bit back when I had a new rope in seal.

FWIW, the 83 & 84 Rabbits were glue in.  I think all other years were rope in.

For the record the 1992 cabriolet I have has a rubber gasket and no trim piece.

removable rubber gasket? you POSITIVE? to the un-trained eye, the trim piece for a glue in windshield will look like a gasket with no chrome trim piece..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

Ill have to double check. But back to the windshield trim, I cannot locate the trim pieces anywhere. Im guessing this is a dealer only item.

Scratch that, I discovered the trim pieces are rubber and the one on my car dry rotted away.
