and that did not tell the kubvan story? its the most rair "vw diesel" made... sadly the one above is a v8 rwd convversion..
the kurbwatt a electric vw based kubvan is even more rair.. like 51 of them made..
those 51 are included in the 500 count.. along with the 20 or so ford versions..
but point is.. kubvans are unique, hard to find treasures.. mine has the tdi-m in it.. and frankley makes it silly fun to drive... no vw ive drove/owned is comparable in the looks/thumbs up it receives..

I don't really see the point. It begs the phrase "just be it's rare doesn't mean it's cool"
What kind of 1/4 times does a rwd v8 kubvan produce?

Cool is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I think my Kubvan is probably the coolest vehicle I've ever owned, and quite a few others would agree, it seems, if I am to go by the number of people who point, wave, thumbs up, etc. I drove past a high school the other day and had a whole group of teenage girls waving at me

well the admin of the kubvan forum that i stole this pic from has photos of ~80+ and vin #s for almost 30.. add in the 5 or so i know of not listed/photos.. and rumors of a field of 10 (ben who i got mine from told me of) and the field of 8 i know of.. id say 100 examples are known to still exist.. sadly the 2 fields full the owners refuse to sell..
Wayland.. you too... everytime i cruize past a school i feel like a dirty old man... kinda wonder what the "men" think as their little jail baits wave for attention.. but as stated.. cool is to the beholder.. gotta see in person to appreciate.. i had a whole bunch ask why till they saw in person when i went to buy mine..
one of the biggest tricks is finding one with a "real" vin #... he posted yesterday that his yellow thing has a 78 rabbit title.. the field of 8 i know of lack vin tags all together..
the flower power one i am trying to get from the field of weeds has vin tag though.. but title is of question.. guy got it as scrap due to it major front end damage.. last plated in 92.. its saving grace to me is over 25 and knowing someone who lives in a place that does bill of sale for old stuff.. so may be able to pull a real title from my arss if i can get a deal worked out on it.. ill revisit the owner on way back from mk1 madness..
