what tools are required to do wheel bearings?

for me.. on car.. slide hammer to yank hub out.. snap ring pliers for the snap ring.. portable press tool with pieces to press it out via wrench/ratchet.. aka can do on car type of thing.. air chissel to knock inner race off hub.. use same press tool to reinstall hub..

other tools.. axle nut socket.. ball joint pinch bolt removal tools.. impact driver to remove set screw holding rotor to hub.. socket to remove caliper.. caliper carrier if you can..

now no portable press tool.. gotta have a press to remove the bearing and press hub in.. and the socket to remve upper strut from body so you do not screw up alignment.. and a socket/wrench for tie rod end..

44505 area.. ne ohio... full shop w lift, vagcom.. tools.. mig and tig.. no tire machines though.. and bosses thought on retiring in the fall means i have no idea... he keeps talking tire machine though...

what tools are required to do wheel bearings?

Hub tamer elite lets me change wheelbearings without pulling the hub.
1985 jetta TD. It was free, and it shows. Down and dirty engine refresh made it run fairly well.... No leaks, except water into the cabin!

2001 golf Tdi. Heavy built ALH, soon to have a PD Frankenstein motor.

soon to be pop tester, need an 8mm dial indicator to run the pump timing adapter I bought.
sure i have some other stuff. pressure washer.
