He states that it's not suitable but he didn't say not possible.
As well things to consider, I've been told this several times by glegor is that your "mating surfaces should be almost perfect as the MLS hg may not seal as well as the fiber hg
I swear I read somewhere that this has been done. Perhaps it was a different scenario
yup, very important to make sure your decks are in VERY good shape.. like, as close to freshly milled as possible..
fiber gaskets will seal on far from perfect surfaces, metal gaskets like things nice n flat..
and yes, this has been done THOUSANDS of times.. it works just fine, but its far from a bolt on upgrade.. theres an oil passage in the gasket that halfways lines up with a water passage.. on the AAZ, theres 2 oil drains on the front of the head, a big center located one, and a small one off to the side, right behind the injection pump.
well, on the hydro blocks, this gasket is a BOLT ON upgrade, but on the mechanical blocks, you must figure out a way to block off the oil passage in the gasket, otherwise you will NEVER be able to keep coolant in the engine.. most people cut a piece of oil filler cap gasket, and lay it in the hole in the gasket, and then torque it down..
and if your only worried about 25psi boost, then dont even bother with this gasket. the fiber gasket is more forgiving, and lasts JUST FINE @ 25psi...
