ok guys, ive never done this before. im doing a clutch replacement on an 86 Coupe GT, and of course, like any other car, the trans has to come out. what should i be expecting? slightly more than an 020? or something like twice as much as an 020? is it even a job i can do by myself without the aid of a trans jack or a second person?
are there any slick tricks to make the job go faster/easier by chance?
any input is GREATLY appreciated!!
I beleive it has the same tranny as my porsche 924s. I never removed the transmission, it was easier to pull the engine, but you may have better luck.

porsche 924 was RWD tho, was it not?
torque tube drive shaft, and trans axle in the rear?
my Audi has a 2.2 5 cyl, not a 2.0 4 cyl like your porsche. and the engine is CRAMMED in this car..
Porsche transmission is "same" 016 than Audi, it's just at rear axle. It's much heavier than 020, but I have never weighed it.

N/a five-pot in a cgt, you've got tons of room. If you want to see shoehorned motors look at v8 audis built after 1995 or so or any modern engine bay. Given that I've never done anything with a fwd audi and thus have no helpful info for your transmission removal project.
It sounds like you have the 2WD version of the 016. The AWD 01A I recently replaced in my car was about 150. The 016 and 01A are similar dimensionally, so I'm guessing 125-150 for yours.
