VW Parts Clearance 2.0 - 1.6 TURBO DIESEL STUFF
« on: March 09, 2012, 08:53:35 pm »
I'm selling more of my parts collection.

T3 turbo drain line. Used, does not look like it leaks. I think this is one for a mk1 car, the kind that mounts... through the engine mounts... but I'm not sure. I believe MK2 is different. Take a look at the pictures before you decide. $25

1.6 TD oil pan. I think this is for a mk1 too. Notice that the turbo oil drain fitting points to the left (passenger side) if viewed from the front of the car. Good drain plug threads. It looks like it was hit but it has been welded up and reinforced with steel plate and it looks like somebody did a good job with it. $45

Both for $60. Only one of each available then it's gone.

Meaning???

It looks to me like a redneck welded a piece of scrap steel after a good batch o' moonshine yet sturdy.

The pan is reinforced so you can be slammed and scrape your pan without dumping your oil all over the road. It's a common thing on low mk2's.

I got an 85 jetta td with a hydro block and t3 turbo.

My pan bung seems to go straight up rather than cocked like that but not sure if would make a difference.

Would love to know about that drain line difference, if any.  It almost looks like the one that came with mine as well.  I had to cut the flex section off due to the upper part being cracked free when I got it, and the flex section leaked so I used some nasty oil hose and wrapped another layer around it to protect it.  Its last for over a year but I sure as heck don't trust it.

I don't think it will fit. The bung (I'm assuming you mean the turbo drain bung and not the oil drain bung) goes in the wrong direction for the drain line.

I have a mk2 Golf with a mk2 TD motor. I wanted to run this oil pan. I couldn't get it to mate with the drain line because of the angle. If you used your own custom drain line I think it would work.

The drain lines are different too with the mk1 drain line going through a motor mount from what I remember and the mk2 drain line going, much more logically, straight down to the oil pan.

Both parts are spoken for, pending payment.
