Nope 8 V have not read of or replied to anything from such a person.  Network engineers are not a bad lot overall,  I know a couple and they are good people.  They don't get their hands dirty either.  They think it is nuts that I would drive a 30+ year old car.  They start espousing the need to keep the environment clean or something to that effect and I only have to ask them the one question we diesel lovers know is the trump card.

How many miles per gallon does your 2010 car get?  Oh, is that all?  My old and trusty poc is still getting 45+.  Boom end of that discussion.

So what did the wife do this weekend while you were out of town?  Or some such twist to the conversation.  I love it.

Still say don't dis the man if he isn't here.  You may cast bad vibes on our otherwise decent forum.

well either way most of us can agree that his presence isn't missed here.  Oh and OR Coaster, what really trips people out is when you tell em your TDI powered mk2 is capable of 1200 miles a tank (driven conservatively of course)..a fellow TDI club member reported 78 mpgs...this is also a chipped tdi, nearly identical to mine.
