Restoring a Caddy as time and weather allows

Yeah what Rusty Caddy said there is kind of funny, and he didn't say if he had been brewing bio for the last few months.

I don't have the time to do a brew my bio thing.  I had that WVO filtering, heating, settling system around the house a few years ago and when my son moved out he took it with him.  Praise the Lord!  I don't want it back.

Brewing has all kinds of downsides as pointed out by blechfire.  Good Job.

When my son had that WVO system in his Rabbit he did the copper line inside radiator hose and we noticed that acid condition making the lines all nasty.  He noticed the long warm up times as well, and we never thought about the second thermo, brilliant idea.  Most of the time he just shut down the heater until his temps came up on his temp gauge near the filter.

I will look into the Pex lines that seems the best alternative as it can take the heat and the pressure is low on the cooling system, at least until your head gasket goes.

Good ideas all, thanks.

I was a little concerned about PEX temperature stability but we're only running around 15 psi so there's plenty of reserve. I ran teflon line as a lesser material melted and closed up. In case you're interested, Mc Master-Carr pn is 5239K14. 3/8" OD x 5/16" ID x .032" wall. Stuff is $3.25/ft so measure carefully. I jammed stainless tube inside so the compression fittings would work otherwise it would crush and pull out. PN is 89895K231. 5/16" OD x .243" ID x .035" wall. That's $8.83/ ft. Quarter inch seems a little small but works OK for me.

I banished the oil-water leak exchanger for an air cooled unit, and repurposed those lines.
