For the fuel filter, I prefer the Mk1 spin on filter.  It is much cheaper than the later one and has a drain valve.  But you need the spin-on holder...

They both have a drain valve.

But the mk1 filter has the advantage that you don't have to disconnect any fuel lines to change the filter.
