the one that is for non-A/C rabbits.  Not too deep, but not too shallow in the middle.

Thanks, j

Rusty-
Are you putting it on the rabbit style pump with the bigger hub in the center (40mm IIRC) If so I think I have what you need.

Yeah, I'm putting it on a Rabbit style pump, but all I know is that it has three bolts that hold it on.  The guy at the shop that I go to showed me how the one I have on there now is too shallow in the middle and that makes my belt to the alternator go on an angle.  Running it on this pulley will wear my belt down in a hurry.  He had another pulley there that was deeper in the middle but that was too deep and wouldn't even bolt on to my water pump.  He said there is an in between pulley that would line up with my alternator pulley perfectly, but he didn't have one at the shop.

Would you be willing to take a digital pic of the pully from the side view so I can see how deep the center section is?  I know this is a lot to ask, but I'll need to know this before I buy, or if you wouldn't mind just measuring how deep it is, that would be great.

Thanks very much!

Hey rusty,
Sorry I've been out of town.  The pulley I have is for a diesel rabbit (no a/c) setup.  Actually it might be the same as the non-ac gas ones.  It measures approx 140mm across, with a 40mm hole in the middle for the pump hub.  When lying on a flat surface, the upper face of the pulley is 17mm high.  The bolt holes (center of them) are about 53mm from each other.
If it sounds like it will work for you, you can just have it, I have another one.  However, if you've replaced the water pump with a later style one (30mm hub hole), you'll need to hit the wreckers and find the appropriate pulley off a A2 with no A/C.  The fox ones are too deep dish and I think the ac golf/jettas are not deep enough, but I'm not sure on that one.
Anyhow, if this pulley will work for you then it's yours for the asking. :)

vwpieces sent me off to a site that showed the waterpump pully to be the K pully ... all waterpump pully numbers are the same but the letter at the end changes.
That's for the small hub (after '81) waterpumps.
