Adding Wheel/Fender Flares to my 1980 caddy
« on: January 26, 2008, 10:08:13 pm »
I have a 1980 Caddy and I would like to pimp up the look with some GTI bodyparts like Wheel/Fender Flares and GTI Bumpers.

How hard are these to install? Are they "bolt on" items or does it require hevy mods of my truck?

Any place online I can find these parts?

Thanks!

A set sold on eBay today for like 150 or some thing plus shipping there was a guy on the samba with a set of gti flares for 200 I believe they are fairly easy to install if your going to paint and you have a good enough body guy you can just have them flared to the length you want.

Hope this helps

Euro GTI flares and I think some rabbit full flare options did not require the use of a US spec GTI front bumper.  But if the Westy GTI is what you want to go for in terms of looks, get the front flares and bumper for that.

I think the Jetta flares are the best fit on a caddy, don't have the odd notches in (which don't line up with anything on a non-golf-gti)

Go big or go home ;)
