Seems like a lot of work and the potential for a huge mess if it comes apart. I've been heating my WVO in an open tank using a 4500 watt water heater element to almost 300* then pouring it through a 10 micron polypropylene bag filter. ( Mc master-carr is the best-cheapest source) Got a stainless screen first for the big chunks. No water, no particles. EZ enough.

The mesh on those bags starts to loosen up around 110F...

If you look at the specs, the ratings go to 300* on the polyester ones. I use PN 5162K81 and have  had no problem.
