Rust is the killer, I can change anything on these but I've never tackled floors and stuff.
They don't force us, they let us choose to do it. And we choose mileage over safety or speed. We could choose to have a newer heavier car with a bigger horsepowered engine in it but we don't think that is necessary. Especially when we know how to convert them over to turbos or tweak them for more power for their weight. Most consumers are not capable of such things. We are an elite group! So drive that old beater into the ground and then go buy a 92.
Wtf are you talking about? Check it- http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2010-volkswagen-polo-bluemotion-diesel-quick-spin.More interior room and power than a mkI golf and 71 combined mpg.
FDNYGuy not only is Superior a big lake it is a cold one. I don't think I ever got more than knee deep in it before my feet were so frozen I had to get out. And I agree that you are giving it an effort as you can. I didn't start with an engine overhaul right out of the gate. It was more like a plug change and oil change on the lawn mower. Hope you are enjoying the trip and the car pulls it all the way without incident.
I seriously feel bad for the people that can't even manage their own oil change.. I still feel nominally bad for people that have the pay for their suspension, brake, and drive-train work as well Oh how great it is to be competent lol
