I have a engine on a stand without flywheel(stand bolts to block, no room for flywheel) or harmonic balancer like to time engine. Have it at top dead center. Any easy way to timing it?

You need the fly wheel. Unless you can get it to top dead center with out it. (Pull injector use feeler gauge...)
using the nipple on the crank sprocket... will be in 7"oclock position with the 8mm threads pointed directly at the oil pan bolt at 6"oclock.. is pretty damb close to TDC...... IF the crank sprocket original and not been modded..
id try it then when you pull it off.. double check tdc and cam to be 100% but i think you will find it pretty dead nutz...
Leave the oil pan off and check the TDC of #1 like that. I always put the oil pan on last anyways. Helps out alot
It's way easy to time now that you have it at top dead center. You need a reference to get it back to TDC because you need to rotate the engine backward slightly to time the inj pump and then rotate it back to TDC. So mark some kind of reference you know is good, or as above you can use the #1 rod cap with a dial gauge to get #1 at TDC.
Install inj pump in a good starting point, install it's lock, install the lock on the cam with the pulley loose. Install the timing belt with engine at TDC and tighten belt. Take cam lock out and inj pump lock out, install the dial gauge in the end of the inj. pump rotate the engine backwards until the dial stops moving, 0 the dial and rotate the engine forwards to TDC. Read the dial and adjust inj. pump accordingly! Done!
Only nip up the cam with the lock in, else you'll join the crowd who have busted cam slots.
Remove pump pin and cam lock then tighten up with car in gear.
Ideally make up a Y' wrench to hold cam pulley.
Mark, engine is on stand. Can't do the in gear thing yet.
