G60 intake manifold
« on: November 03, 2011, 03:00:50 pm »
I have a "long tube" G60 intake manifold here, going from n/a to turbo.

I don't have the TB here to gut, does anyone make a flange to bolt on?

That's the adaptor I used. I have a gutted g60 throttle body with all the ports welded up somewhere in my garage I'd sell if I could find it.

G60 manifolds are supposedly the SHORTEST tubes out of the counterflow intakes.. or is there some other type of G60 manifold that im not aware of?

but a stock G60, held next to a stock mk2 intake, and you can TELL WITH THE NAKED EYE that the mk2 cis/digi intake has longer tubes.

the G60 ports are in the floor of the plenum, the mk2 ports are in the rear wall of the plenum, the wall closest to the firewall.

the G60 intake on Powered By Spearco's (Josh's) truck has considerably shorter runners than my mk2 mani on my TD.

(and you dont need a throttle body to gut, or an adapter. if you have access to a welder, it takes less than 15 mins to fab up an adapter. i made the one for my setup, and it works awesome)
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

The exact like I lost.

For $50, it's not worth finding steel/time to make. I already have to fab up the turbo lines and exhaust flange for the downpipe.
