Well I have the mount made. I did do the underside gusseting I was planning on. If you are interested I am going to be sending a couple off for testing shortly and once I hear how they fit up on car I will sell them to whoever I want to. Price is going to start off at 75.00 plus shipping. It will come with all the hardware to fasten it on the engine mount and block.

I stated testing on car as I know they will bolt to the block and to the mount. It is very tight as the holes are pretty picky but they all test and fit. What I am really looking at the test for is the half shafts. I don't have spare car to bolt all this up to to see if anything hits. I figure that it won't as I took many measurements off the cast stock one, but lowered cars and real world will be the actual test I guess.

Also, if I forget to tell whoever wants one, for whatever reason it goes on easier if you start with the top left bolt to the block if you are behind the engine looking at it. If you start it first it goes on like butter, if you start any of the others it is a pain, but you can still get it.

hi

just to share that on my 1.9 passat the turbo fitted fine.
1.9d intake manifold and gt2052v welded to a 1.6gtd exhaust manifold(it will it the firewall no matter what)
just had to angle skim  both manifolds on the side they attached to the engine to put the two a bit higher.

Great job.

This mount is for people that have the vnt1749v, 1749va, 1749vb turbos and don't want to weld it to a manifold. I think if I wanted to use the same intake I have now, but I don't :D

thanks.
why not to use the 1Y intake?
with minor mods(reverse the opening side) works great.
at least better than stock TD ones...

cause if your turbo is high mounted like lucas's is, it doesnt work out.. the 1Y wont fit with a high mounted turbo, only a flipped manifold, custom manifold, or VNT will clear a 1Y manifold..

I have a manifold from Finland that AKI 76 built. It will go on as soon as I make the VNT controller and hang the turbo...which will be pointed down. FWIW I also have a CIS gasser intake still on a 1.8

once you VNT it, you will want to use the 1.8 manifold..

you still running a full 1.6 arent you?

Is there a lip on that intake manifold for the boost tubing to hold onto?

it appears that there is something machined into the inlet to hold the hose. if you hook a boost hose to a non-lipped tube, it just blows off.

yeah there are 2 machined groves in the end. I have some really good T bolt clamps that hold well. I have my t bolt clamps that are holding my tubing now and they are doing great. I do have them buried into the next tube inside the coupler.

The big pain will be making the controller to go around that intake.
