Feeler: Street Toys VNT22 Hybrid ST-3BV and ex. manifold
« on: September 12, 2011, 12:31:08 am »
I've had this for a while and have had no use for it. I got it in a trade.

To be honest, I don't know much about the turbo, but it had no problems from the PO.

I was told its a 22/56? I can get some pics if interested.

Also, I have a Street Toys tubular ex. manifold that will bolt to the said turbo. Its got a T25 flange so it can be used with most any T25 turbo.

Asking $350 O.B.O.  Feel free to PM me.

The manifold flange was cut off and I bought a techtonics flange to be able to flip the manifold. It needs welding if its used, its tacked now. Right now, its setup to have the turbo top mounted

and it looks that the manifold sticks up too far to flip it and have the manifold clear a long runner gasser manifold..

That's probably why the price is so low. There were issues with improper tolerances and inadequate balancing. Still a good deal for the parts alone.

There is no abnormal shaft play up, down, in, or out.

I do remember hearing some issues with his products but this one feels fine.

Other than that, its the same as buying a used turbo from the internet. You take a chance.

I have sold and bought items hear and on Vortex more than a few time to even concider ruining my rep here or anywhere. The price hopefully reflects this.

If you'ld like a video of the turbo and its condition, that thats fine with me.

This turbo setup was mine, and never had any issues. I removed it to go bigger with a gtb2260vk. It's probably got about 10 or 15k miles on it at most.
1985 jetta TD. It was free, and it shows. Down and dirty engine refresh made it run fairly well.... No leaks, except water into the cabin!
