I need to know if it is possible to buy a car from Canada and drive it back into America. If so what do I need to do in order to make this as smooth as possible besides a passport and such? Thinking about looking for some 1.9 donor cars. Thanks for any help.
unless you from canada NO WAY... easier for them to drive across.. meet you.. then take bus back home..
What about driving cars back from Canada into the US as parts cars? Is there a way to temporarily register a vehicle in the US that was never offered for sale here?
1.9 AAZs are banned in the US due to emissions, your best bet is to cross the border and disassemble the motor and harness and cross back with a bill of sale stateting its a 1.9TD VW industrial
Motor then it will be aloud, trust me I've done it before
Is it possible to keep the car intact and have one brought across the border by a Canadian and then when it changes hands it can be driven to a place and be taken apart in the States? Thanks for the replies, just trying to see what my options are.
like in my 1st reply...
it is easy for them to drive across.. then take bus back home..
why.. simple.. my car broke.. it is at yada yada garage to be fixed.. then say month later they just say they scrapped it cause its not worth the $ to fix..
can you title it and drive no.. but you can strip it and scrap it pretty easy..
