i wanna finish my serpentine conversion..
need the water pump pulley because im not running a/c..
any of you canadians have any laying around up there?
isn't it possible to use a VR6 pulley in this application? like from a 99 or earlier engine? sometimes I need non AC water pump pulleys myself. anyone know?
its possible, but the AAZ pulley is bolt on with no other mods. no shims or spacers required..
aaz is direct bolt on pt no 028121031E it is 25 at 1st vw parts if you don't find one
aaa(vr6) needs washers or spacers to get the belt alignment correct!

i forgot to mention that im doing a serp swap on my GASSER. so the VR6 wp pulley, or 1.8 AAC mono-motronic non-a/c wp pulley.. i know for fact the Canadian AAC pulley is a direct bolt on, or atleast 99% positive..
ABA non-a/c water pump pulley would work too, if there is such a thing.
A Gasser? I can't say much i guess, i still have a couple. If you get in a pinch 1st vw has those for $31.66 (028121031k fits aba and acc w/out a/c) although never having done one on a gasser i have no clue what fits better. Good luck!
i have all the parts, and i KNOW FOR A FACT that the AAC/ABA pulley is a "bolt on and go" part for gas engines..
i have the balancer, alternator, bracket, and whatever else needed.. only things im missing, are the WP pulley, and the clutched alt pulley..
anyone remember a P/N for the clutched alt pulley off the top of their head?
Now that is a tougher question! There are differences in splines etc. The aaz one should be 028903119AA according to my etka but here is a thread that talks of several and they are various prices, i actually found mine on ebay, someone had a gates they didn't use or need.
