if i had the coin id add it to the toaster... it needs  big turbo

yes that will work on a gasser.. most we see are on gassers.. the throttle body adapter is the main differance.. gas = throttle body, then the turbo feed (air filter for us) would go to the cis flap.. which i think is the callaway casted pipe..

intercooler was a stage 2 type of thing..

his pic of it on head is stage 1.. mk1 rabbit/jetta/cabby/caddy.. so stage 1 wise i think he has all the pieces for a mk1... gas or diesel..

p.s. callaway got its start making diesel kits.. then moved into gassers.. then vetts..

add some intercooler piping and stage 2.. :D

Still a long way from "EXTRA TEMPTING". What are "GTD" injectors, BTW?

How can you asses the temptingness when you admit you don't even know what is being sold?

Lets see,
better than stock intake
better than stock exhaust
better than stock rebuilt turbo
with plumbing

Less than $500
Do you prefer rusty hoods and stretched tires to running well or something?

GTD = GTI, but diesel.

 :o :o

no wastegate?

how impossible will that be to find?
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

like my old BAE kit that also lacked wastegate.. diesels did not have enough rpm to make enough boost for one.. think of how big this turbine is.. think of diesel rpm.. the BAE one only makes around 7psi.. BUT pushes you in the seat unlike a stock td does due to its size.. its old antique turbo stuff here..

why waste gate required anyways.. add in one of them silly sneeze valves and that will drop boost pressure.. lots of people build them..

if waste gate needed.. ok.. add the thing into the manifold in some way.. audi 5k turbo has a remote one that bolted to the manifold.. lots of them in junkyards..

id still add this to my tdi-m in the toaster.. may have some lag.. but i bet would rip the tires free in upper rpm range no issue.. just i has no money..

A guy from Oregon bought the kit. He's putting it on a 1.9 NA. With the extra 300cc of size it should be a good fit. Let's hope he decides to join the forum.
Thanks to everyone for their input and help.
Cheers,
-JB
