Just to end this on a great note. TheMan53 hooked me up with not one but two rebuild kits for my vac pump. Parts arrived Friday in the mail and I had it back and running better than ever by 5 PM.
Truly a great help this forum is. I helped clean his work bench and he returned me my braking power.
Because I never had really good vacuum building in the booster I always had a bit of a stopping problem. No more.
Great help and great service from TheMan53. He even offered to try and find me a spare pump so I could have a spare. How can you argue with folks like that.
I told him the kits did the job and save the spare for another poor boy like me in the future.
