a guy I know has a Nissan D22 sitting in his shop...

Also has a mid 80s Ford Ranger Turbo Diesel, and quite a few VWs lol

mitsu 2.3 TD, and a T5 trans.. there soo cool.. probably one of my favorite small diesel pickups.
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

transmission gear set..

my trans is bad. broken bad.

Just to follow up, I went back there about a week after I posted that and saw that the trans was gone.

I may have been smoking too much crack, but I swear there was a diesel version available of the mid 80's Sentra  and Maxima/810  too...

There were (and still are) diesel Sentras and Maximas (and diesel SUVs too) and in some countries they're quite popular.

The diesel Maximas had the LD28 straight six engine that's essentially the 280 Z engine with diesel stuff on it. So if you ever spot one, grab it because the crankshaft drops into a Z car engine, turning it into a stroker. The cranks fetch quite a bit of money around here.

And this guy put the whole LD28 engine in a Z car which is an idea I fully support. It's in Oregon too, who would have thought, right?

that is a beautiful car, with a beautiful engine. Being driven by a retard. The datsun doesn't suck in slippery conditions, you trying to drive with summer tires does. IDIOT. lmao

the Sentra got a CD17 diesel engine.. VE pump, cross flow head, decent engine for sure.. i bet you could strap a turbo on one and make decent power..

Actually they have a TKK 5 speed, just like any other Ranger, not a T5. They are great trucks. I have 4 of them. I have one that I may be willing to sell.

There are only 155 miles between us according to MapQuest, in case you are interested.

Just rescued a Datsun King cab  pickup that had ran out of gas on the freeway.
Fill the filter with ATF, pump the primer a few times, and a brisk 1/4 mile drag with the suburban, and the poor lump was off in a haze ;D

It was pretty beat up, the exhaust seemed to disperse evenly from under the bed.

Oh well, did my good deed for the night.

I am outside of Tacoma. I would let my Canadian Ranger go for $1800. 166K, (my DD has 346K on it) fresh head gasket, straight body, crappy repaint, clean interior, good tires.
