Injection adjustments

Yep I would put it anywhere between .85-.95mm.Also I think that pump has a cold start advance mechanism on it,Not too sure though. Its controlled by coolant temp to advance the pump timimg when the engine is cold.If it does have this device then the timimg would have to be adjusted with this device either disabled or have the engine up to temp to ensure this doesn't throw off the static pump timimg procedure.Mabye someone else has some input on this?Just have a look at the pump to see if indeed there is any device at all!
lesharoturbo:
Yes Andy it does have some sort of cold start device. To me though it seemed to act more like a choke since it will keep the rpm's high until the coolant is warm. It soes have a little arm that holds the throttle linkage open some.

I'll look at one tomarrow to get a better idea of its operation as my work has one.Its one of our display models .
lesharoturbo:
Andy,
You were right. It does have a cold start advance in addition to the throttle advance.
Why does your company have one of these? Are they interested in some parts? I have 2 of tehese plus a spre engine and tranny all complete wth turbo and accessories.

We just have the 2 inj pumps for those engines at my work.I had a look at one today and I guess you'd have to disconnect the linkage or get the engine hot to check/adjust the pump timing like I though. With a dial indiactor in the pump you'll be able to see how much the arm advances the timing. If you disconnect the arm from the accuator it should spring back to the no cold advance position.
