FS: 12mm TDI pump head conversion
« on: November 14, 2005, 04:52:59 am »
I bought this from Red Rotors a while back, but I ended up just buying a complete 12mm injection pump. I don't really need it at this point so I'm posting it back for sale. I'd just like to get about what I paid for it which was $250 US. Thanks.

What did that come from? What uses larger then 9mm?

I couldn't tell you what it's original application was. Only Marc knows that and I doubt he wants to tell us. But, lots of things use pump heads larger than 9mm. Typically you find 12mm pump heads on larger displacement engines found on construction equipment as well as trucks. The VW TDI uses a 10mm pump on manual transmission cars and an 11mm pump on cars with an automatic transmission.

Bump.  I bought a 12mm plunger head from Mike, similar to the one shown above but not this same one which I believe might be still available.  It looks to be great quality, and he's a good guy to work with.

I can get some of the other various pump parts. Most of which wouldn't be bosch as this stuff can be very difficult to get and sometimes be quite costly. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll see if I can get it.  :)

I think the T4 or EV platform uses the 12 mm head IIRC.
