Looking for a reliable IP Rebuilder in Seattle?
« on: July 06, 2011, 06:54:21 am »
My 82 N/A IP has stopped working:( I have done everything to verify the Pump is the problem, I have cleaned the pickup filter in the tank, replaced the filter in the engine bay and it still just won't run faster than at an idle. It loses power right off idle and dies if you attempt to drive. So I want to get the IP Rebuilt and looking for a good source in the Seattle area? Any suggestions?

Thanks
VW

Performance Diesel injection...they are a little bit on the outside of town but worth it. Giles is the guy running shop and the info can be found in the Vendors Section of the forum. With shipping you will have less or the same as you would to source it locally.

You could also call H&H Diesel Services, Inc

H&H Diesel Services, Inc
407 Porter Way # A
Milton, WA 98354-9686
(800) 929-2335

They're just down in Milton and handle alot of Bosch IP work around the area.  They also either have any part you could need in stock or can get it very quickly.  I have a spare pump that they are going to press out the old main bushings, press in the new ones, and then ream them to the proper dimensions and orientation in the pump body and only charge 30 minutes of labor.

I paid $450 for a rebuilt pump from www.thedieselstore.com and have been real happy. You had to ship. Yer pump back but they make that easy... Much cheaper than local,?
