vnt-15 isn't that big of a turbo to constitute 3" imo.  but just a note, small amounts in the increase of an exhaust increases the flow by a lot, a 2.5 exhaust has an area of 4.9 inches squared, where a 3" exhaust has an area of 7 inches squared, nearly twice the flow.

for a VNT15, i would say that 2" is good for a normal build, while 2.5 is probably as big as you would ever need with this turbo.. because it can only flow soo much air..

^ I will concede that I come from gas turbos, and haven't had any experience with the VNT 15. I will trust that 2.5" is more than adequate, and it is quite large compared to stock, if you consider that. Plus as you implied ROR, not everyone wants their car to sound like that...


Yes stock turbo for now. Once I'm re-employed (laid off), I'll be getting a new DD and putting her under the knife.

2.5" it is then (and its cheaper!) can't wait to hear it! Hopefully i can put a video once i get it all together and the exhaust on it just for a future reference for someone
