Today's my last day as your humble moderator...
« on: April 30, 2011, 02:24:35 am »
... sniff sniff.  :'(

I joined this rag-tag gang in January of 2007 and agreed to be Lead Mod in Feb of 2009... 5+ years of great diesel conversations with you wacky VW diesel geeks.  ;D

These days I'm not rockin' any IDI engines anymore... and in between family, friends, and a couple of TDIs I now have a garage full of air-cooled parts to consume my time... so a month ago I let Marc (redrotors) know that it was time for me to step down.

I'm certainly planning to drop by every now and again (still have a box of shims and a 27mm deep socket so you never know when an IDI might drop into my life!) but mostly just want to thank everyone for the amazing learning experience you've provided for me over the past 5 years.

cheers,

Vince

Thank you Vince!!!   For all that Libby mentioned, and those handy tidbits of information that you always seem to chime in with at exactly the right time..  Best of luck with your future endeavors, and we'll still be here waiting when you return with that next IDI  ;D ;D

Wow.......that was unexpected :'(

Like the others said, thanks for your spectacular efforts at keeping this forum clean and sensible, you will not be forgotten.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Vince, thanks for all the past support, tips, and advice.  You were a great source of information and I hope that you will find enough time to kick in here often.  Like R.O.R. says drop in the diesel and then you will have need for those shims and socket.

Great to have had you and I hope we get to see you back as a regular contributor.
