NA exhaust bits
« on: April 20, 2011, 01:10:43 pm »
I have 2 sets of gasser exhaust manifolds and downpipes to wake up your, 1.6, 1.7 or 1.9 NA. Prices are plus shipping

First would fit a Mk1,2 or 3 . Outlet of downpipe is just over 2" .I will include the gasket between manifold and pipe $80 . Surfaces and stud threads cleaned up, ready to install

This is for a Vanagon. basically from an Audi 80, but came from VW South Africa.
Again outlet is about 2" $70

the mk2/3 manifold and downpipe wont fit on a mk1.. the downpipe will hit on the body, or rack n pinion, i dont remember witch it is tho..

thats a cool vanagon manifold and downpipe tho!

It's  a Mk1 manifold and downpipe so maybe it'll fit the others. I wish i could say one way or another, but maybe someone else can confirm. I bought all this stuff for my Transporter .

nah, this is a mk2/3 manifold dude.. look at how its bent.. the mk1 comes straight off the manifold, then goes straight back..
another thing, mk1 dual outlet manifolds/downpipes never had that nice flex joint like the later mk2 dual outlet mani/downpipe..

this manifold will fit a mk2 or mk3 car easily, no mods. but fitting that on a mk1, it might be easier to just get the proper mk1 piece.. you would have to some cutting, and changing of bends on the downpipe..

only reason that mk1 exhaust isnt interchangeable with mk2/3 exhaust is because of steering rack location.. mk1 mounts to the body of the car, mk2/3 mount to the sub frame of the car..
