.. to fit chrome rabbit bumpers to an 81 Jetta?

From what I have seen the brackets are different? If I get bumpers without brackets.. how easy will it be to modify them to work with the jetta shocks?

It's only different if the bumper is from a gti.which I didn't think y'all got up in Nookerville   everything else has a bumper shock. They attach at the same point on the rail, you need the whole setup.  they attach at the bumper at different spots.  good luck
