Hi i have a qestion? If i weld 52mm intake inlet can i expect positive effect. All my intercooler piping is 52mm.
weld 52mm tubing to what?
start with a little background first..
what kinda car? what intake manifold? turbo charged im assuming?
I've never heard of anyone intercooling a naturally-aspirated motor?
OP: I'd want the air intake tract to be bigger than the intercooler tubing, the air is compressed after the turbo and on a diesel you cant give it too much air.

well, he said intercooled, so its either supercharged, or turbo'd i would assume.
and FWIW, the opening to my intake is about 75mm (3") or so..and my boost tubing is small, around 50mm (2")..
This is the intake. My question is about the part that the air flow in to the intake.
So is it 52mm inner diameter on the intake? If its smaller then bringing it up to 52mm will mean more airflow. The thing is, it has to have the weld slag cleaned from the inside of the manifold.
