Thnx for the reply. i was looking for the engine data. The more detailed, the better. Thnx. Injector pump, turbo boost, wastegate.

Off the top of my head -
76.5mm bore
86.4mm stroke
1588cc
22.5:1 compression
10 psi boost pressure
Bosch VE 9mm injection pump - 2.17mm cam plate lift - governor speed something like 2250 iirc
155 bar injector opening pressure
10 psi boost pressure via a Garret T3 with 50 trim compressor and .36 A/R Turbine or a KKK K24 turbocharger (I don't have much detail on the K24). Both use internal wastegates.
34mm (I think) intake valves, 31mm exhaust valves.
68hp, 98 ft/lbs
etc, etc...You should check out the SAE papers as well as the protraining manual. I'm sure someone will post up the links or you can search for them. I do not have them handy.

Thnx m8 i really appreciate it. One of the probs im having at the moment is a stuck wastegate, so..... no turbo boost. Im going to dismantle the exhaust header and try to release it.Meanwhile Ill check for more info.
Thanks once m8. Best regards

Ye, it's the KKK, thats what im going to do. I also had the intake pipe fractured (the rear end that comes from the air filter box to the turbo)and already changed it. Also have a smoking problem. I delayed the injector pump a bit because it was a little advanced, but the car is still smoking too much, and i dont know if the cause might be a blocked exhaust or something ( it doesnt have a catalytic converter)

Retarding the timing will typically make it smoke more. Later injection=less complete burn. Also smoking will be caused by insufficient air (lack of boost), also known as too much fuel for the amount of air. Probably someone increased the fueling to make the turbo spool faster. Because your turbo is not producing boost, you are never getting into the clean burning part of the program. Get that wastegate shut.
Andrew
I thought about the lack of boost causing the smoke. I only retarded the timing a bit because the engine was knocking too much in cold, and opened the flow a bit because at lower rpm the car wasnt smooth even warm. i got this pump from a junkyard and in the begining it was leaking from the breather in the top of it. I must say that at that time it was a complete smoke festival........

ok m8s, i got my wastegate fixed. it was completely stuck, but still the turbo isnt producing the boost i was expecting. I didnt change the valve lenght. And im still having some smoke problems. What should i do? Advancing the pump will make the car knock at higher rpm again, and befor i retarded it the excessive smoke was already there

My timing was @ 0.75mm on my 1.9TD before. Over 3500rpm, there wasn't power and lots of smoke. I advanced the timing @ 1.01mm (hammer mod) and now, I feel the power until 5000rpm and there's no smoke. I run only 8-9PSI (winter mode) with an intercooler, there's no smoke.
With my old 1.6TD I had about 19-20PSI @ 3000rpm with a KKK K24 turbocharger, non wastegate (the tube between the turbo abd the wastegate was removed and replaced by 2 bolts)
My father's car has a trouble; two manifold bolts are broken and I can have only 5 PSI for the moment and it doesn't sound good, and smells smoke inside.

So, you think advancing the timing would help? I like the sound of 19-20 psi with those screws

If there is an issue with poor performance and smoke with stock timing, I would strongly suggest not advancing the timing, at least until you have had the injectors properly redone. Smoking and poor performance are prime symptoms of poor spray patterns on injectors. Advancing the timing further can easily melt pistons or prechambers. It might seem to run better for a little while....
Andrew
I agree with you but the nozzles are bosch brand new so i dont believethats the prob. Its a mystery
