i need to figure out why my FSTgrmn gauge pod wont fit.. i got one for a mk2, but its shaped like no mk2 trim ive ever seen..
my trim pieces are straight and flat on the top part..
is any mk2 trim curved on the top to follow the windshield around?

Maybe he set you a Corrado or MK1 version? All MK2 window pillar trim is exactly the same for all years 1985-1992.

i have looked at 8 or 9 mk2 cars so far since i got the pod, and they ALL HAD the same trim pieces as my cars.

there is indeed 2 different styles of mk2 windshield/a-pillar trim...
WTF?!?!
all my cars have one kind, and Jake only makes pods for the other kind..

Whaaaaaa? I've only seen the one kind.
Did you check Lotek and see what they had (or is that Jake?)

no, the pod doesnt fit at all.. its just sitting there.. if it were in the correct location, the head liner board would be broken, and the door seal would be over the edge of it..

it contours to the bottom of the windshield, and to the top of the headliner board.
Looks like you just need to put the door seal over the edge of it and call it a day.. Its possible to not look the same as stock piece and still work properly, its a different piece all together.

At the top it looks like it shouldn't try to turn the corner, like it needs to be cut shorter before the ceiling.
The bottom looks like you'll never get the speaker grill to fit.
Looks to me like it's the correct one but just doesn't have the proper curves top and bottom.
