Cummins 6BT 12V P pump engine
« on: February 16, 2011, 11:17:07 am »
Lots of diesel fans here would appreciate this engine.  Good for towing all your VW stuff.

5.9L Cummins Engine.  Removed from '94 Dodge 3500.  Inline P-pump.  Super tough durable engine but if you're looking at this ad you already know this! ;-)  Has 315TKM/196K miles- just barely broken in.  Runs great.  $1600 for complete drop in engine.  I also have the other associated swap ie: intercooler and piping, wiring harness, etc. which are available very reasonably if you purchase the engine.  $1600 willing to entertain trade offers.

This is the 175HP unit.  I guess the autos of this generation were 160hp.

I also have an NV4500 2wd trans too.  Needs work but will include reasonably with the 6BT.

Wow, awesome price for that... too bad it won't fit in my car!

With the P pump, the hardest thing about hitting 400hp with this engine is finding a drivetrain that can handle it!

enough boost is when you have 3 dimple marks in the hood from the valve cover nuts..  ;D

You don't find them that cheap on the we(s)t coast north of the border, either.  I wish I had the funds right now to put this one in stock for a future project, but I do not.  :(  I've been casually looking for one for about 3 years now, for an eventual old power wagon project.  Unfortunately right now I do not have the power wagon, or the money or space for new parts that I have no use for.
Best of luck to whoever gets the deal.
One DD 92 Jetta, One 91 Collision write-off, and One 92 rust free shell, beautiful, stripped, waiting for diesel-ization.

I wish that was a 4WD NV4500... I love my '92 W250 Cummins truck but with the Getrag trans in it, it's like you're shifting a baseball bat through a barrel of coconuts.

Well... the truck this engine came out of did have the NV4500 4wd but that's going into my F350 which already has the 12V.  It had the NV4500 2wd but the T case was divorced and I'm eliminating a driveshaft.
