WTB. MK2 (92 jetta) heater box
« on: February 13, 2011, 07:42:09 pm »
Need a heater box (connector box) for a 92 jetta, MK2. the p/n off of the box is 191-820-353 (or 176-820-353). One of the plastic gears going to the directional flap broke..

You can buy the little arm, I had to do it to get mine fixed to pass safety.

Have no idea where to get just the arm. The parts break down shows it as part of the heater box.. Could you share your secret without having to kill me?  :)

Thanks,
  John

The stealership has them. I can give you the number if you want for my parts lady, she has her shiznit together. IIRC she said the parts are still in production for the SEATs which are Spanish VW's.

If you would sir. Much rather go that route than replacing the whole heater box. Does it have it's own part number??

heater box is a beotch to rip out..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

you should go get atleast a half case of adult beverages to accomplish this job.. (pulling the dash and replacing heater core/blend door foam)

Macka,
Could you give me the number to your parts lady? Also, would you happen to know what that lever is called?

Thanks,
  John

After about 7 of the adult beverages, I lose count of how many are in the box.

the Toll free number is 1 866 386 9689 regular number is 1 807 344 9700 ask for Nicole in Parts. Tell her what you are looking for. I don't have the PN on hand anymore. Maybe someone with the ECTA can look it up.

26 oz of your favourite adult beverage much easier to relieve the pain without so many trips to the little boys room.
