•   I have an MK3 golf AAZ i need a used cooling fan assembly and Was wondering what the difference is between the rad cooling fans  on a car with a/c and one without a/c.  Can you use either one?  Is $50 a good price for one used?

• non a/c - Auto trans fan is 450/250 watt two speed

• I would find any fan & shroud no lower than, as GEE-BEE stated, 250 watts. watts (over size) are a good unit of measure for the kind of air flow the fan can produce. Unless it was designed by people who shouldn't be making fans and is remarkably inefficient for what ever reason.

• A little bit of a pain to do but a Ford Taurus fan and motor is the poor mans flex a lite.
