Smoked by a GO bus
« on: February 07, 2011, 09:02:04 am »
I doubt I'm the first that this has happened to, but I knew I had to share this...   I used to frequent this board quite a bit, but have moved over to TDi club... One thing I've always disliked about "Smoke Tales" is the severe lack of pictures. Here's my late contribution. As this all took place, even though I wasn't the one doing the Smoking, try to imagine my ear to ear grin as I was snapping pictures.

As we see here, the small Toyota Echo tried his best to pass the smokey beast on the left, but as usual, his gutless gasser just couldn't come through.

Forced to finally cut in the tiny Echo is finally about to come to terms with being "Smoked".

As the bus belched out cloud after cloud of thick wonderful smog, I'm sure the Echo was praying for salvation...

Abandoning all hope, the Echo finally realized he'd have to wash his car, and change all the air filters after being truly and fully "smoked.

The End.

Actually, it wasn't really the end, but I was doing about 110kmph at this point, I passed the bus pretty quick, and to my surprise, the operator was texting on his cell phone!!   :o  At this point, I had already shut off my iPhone, I tried my best to slow down and take pictures of the distracted driver, but the irony of the situation kicked in, and I slowly pulled away.

Smoke is cool.

That's kinda lame that the guy was texting, probly had no clue the other guy was trying to pass.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Damn, I thought our Canadian counterparts were still living in a first world country, the US slipped to second world status shortly after reagan was "elected" but I still don't see third-world buses like that one down here! HOKEY SMOKES!

Go buses usually don't smoke that bad. We do still live in a first world country. We also don't have extremely dumb smog rules like CARB. FWIW most of your buses that say MBI and your LRT down in Kalifornia are built up here in Canada.
