  I've seen plenty, I just have those 4 in my driveway right now lol. Its the same end as the diesels.. but a longer distance between the throttle end and the stop.

  a RD is most definitely 10:1
  
  and has more hp than my HT..
  
  not less compression and less HP
  
  they are almost identical engines. the only thing making the RD different was the fact it had a dual outlet manifold and downpipe..
  
  and USA spec cars all have the same throttle cable.. and they are way different than all the ones you have.
  
  like i said, the better part of 10 gasser VWs i have spent lots of time with in the last year, all had the same style of cable, and its WAY DIFFERENT from a diesel cable. they take the bottom cable with the crimped on ball end..
  
  im not saying your cables are wrong.
  
  im just saying that they are different for sure. we never got diesel throttle cables on our gassers in this country.
  
  all the gasser cables i have experience with, are WAY TOO SHORT to work on a diesel, and would take a good amount of fabrication to make them work..

• Have you had any experience with any mk1 gassers?? That's what I swapped in too. They are too long to work in stock form on our pumps.. But moving the stop back about 6" worked.
  I ownder ehy the difference? Could it be all mine are products of the wolfsburg plant?

• yea, i know the mk1 gasser throttle cable is way too long, but just the cable, not the sheath..
  
  who knows what the difference might be.. but your canadian stuff is weird. only VW ive seen with the diesel cable end is a diesel.. lol.

• Lmao. Its possible, but very unlikely someone converted all these cars to use diesel cables.. I'm sure gasser cables are just as easily obtained :p

  The lengthened throttle stop. And the throttle cable that was original to the CIS Basic that this car had last week
