good news.  a friend of mine said he can bring them across the niagara boarder this saturday for $100.
Let me know if you want to go that route, as I'll have to arrange w/ him asap.

I left at 2AM eastern this morning. I got back around 5:00pm after a little detour. 300miles one way about 425 on the way back. I have pics to post later.
I am excited. I met a real Canadian named Rich. Last time I was in Canada was when I drank...alot...Every bar in Windsor the weekend I was there ran out of Jack Daniels, Bacardi, and another that I can't remember now. It was bad, I have since cleaned up. I met Canadians then, but have no rememberance of them ;).

I rode like that for 6 hours back from Niagra Falls. I only leaked oil from one of them. The only one on my carpet, 3 decent sized drops that I will have to deal with. I unloaded them all myself and there is no noticable difference in weight from the 1.6 and the 1.9. All made me squeeze out a fart to pick them out of the car, no lie.

IDK and WTF....UNBELIEVABLE weird S******* happening on the way up and back. My SKY HIGH EGT's...about half way up just stopped being hot. They would level out about 1150-1200F in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. 1st and 2nd still pull enough that it wasn't stopping then. I thought for sure on the way back that it would be real bad with a little extra in the car. SAME as the way up. No more than 1,200F in the high gears. I don't know what the deal was but I hope it stays.

I have been up since 2am and am starting to get down to just my instincts...real cavemanish-EAT, something, SLEEP is all I am about right now. No intelligence, no empathy, I don't really make sense to me now. You all might not notice a differeence but I do ;D

Maybe it was the clean cold canadian air being pushed south by the jetstream!  ;) ;D

Glad to hear you made it ok man!

I finally got the Golf out on the highway last weekend on a trip to Columbus, @75 MPH the EGT's don't go above 800 unless I put my foot in it to accelerate.  WOO-HOO!

I hope you get your EGT situation sorted out.  At this point I'm probably running more fuel than you are. LOL

I'm trying to talk my buddy into swapping an AAZ into his Jeep.  He just dropped like $475 for a transmission service.  I told him that would pay for and probably cover about 3/4's of a rebuild on one AAZ.  :P

He still has the heads just not the blocks as far as I know. He did say he could store the heads so I don't think they are for sale until he is settled in China or wherever he was going.
