I want them. I don't know if I can get them by that time. I don't have whatever it takes to get across the border either right now. Where are you and I will see what I can do. Let me know where you are and I will see what I can do.

Stoney Creek, Ontario. about 25mins from the queenston/lewiston bridge near niagara falls. Three shortblocks will fit into just about any car's trunk. I'd imagine there's gonna be a bunch of other tidbits you'll be driving away with too, as I cull my parts heap to a moveable size.

Google says 6 hours one way. Not bad. I could do it in a day. What is needed for me to cross the border?

i've driven from here to boston and back in a day, so 6 hrs definitely isn't bad.

You need a valid passport.

Does your state have any type of "enhanced" drivers licenses? Here in NY, they offer it for border crossings from Canada, Mexico and some Caribbean countries. It will not work on air travel, but obviously you will be driving. Showing some authorized documents to NYS DMV will let you obtain the enhanced drivers license. Maybe your state has the same, if you don't live in NY.
Good Luck.
Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.

Good luck. You pay $$$ for the expedited process. NY State gives us that option w/o a passport with the license.
Anybody nearby that can hold these blocks for after the 10th???
Good luck on the sale, and good luck over there, Bryson.
Maybe you can show the Chinese how to make better VW parts..

Stay safe, stay well. Jimmy.

There is no way to get the passport even the expedited I tried wouldn't get it by the weekend. If they could have it would have been way too much cash to make it possible anyway for the expedited fee. I want all the engines, but cant get there. Would you be willing to take them to the border or get someone to do so? Would somone else be willing to do it for me?

I would without hesitation, but I simply don't have time. I can ask a friend (now non-active smokeydub on here) if he would mind stashing them for you. Please let me know what the time frame is for getting a passport so I can give him an idea of how long they'll be cluttering up his space.

As of ( Tuesday December 7, 2010 ), we are processing routine applications in approximately 4-6 weeks from the time of application
expedited is 2-4 and much more $$$. Let me know if I can come in the new year to your pals place. I will start working on the deal now.
