Old injectors, new rebuild, interesting pop testing results...
« on: November 11, 2010, 10:54:30 pm »
I had the old injectors on my '84 TD rebuilt and here are the results. The car has roughly 150k on it. No clue what the PO did.
Before:
210
200
208
203

New nozzles and a good cleaning:
235
235
230
230

I know they should be around 155. Thoughts?

Either they are correct or gauge is out :-\
Are the injectors in the same order for both readings?
The gain in bar might be what would be expected with new nozzles.
Just bend the gaug e needle down 50 bar.
If gauge accurate, theninjectors unneccessarily high for an IDI, but fine for a TDI IIRC
